I continued college at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. I received my B.A. in 1989.
After college, I worked for the first of two library systems: Timberland Regional Library System.
Five years and a few
preschool storytime fliers later, I headed north to work for the King
County Library System.
For the next 19 years I was both the Webmaster and the Art Director for KCLS, the third largest library system in the United States. My department supplied complete graphic services to the 1,000+ employees in the 40 branch libraries throughout King County and the Service Center in downtown Seattle, Washington.
Some of my duties included:
Maintaining and troubleshooting the 1,000+ pages on the library system's Web site.
Supervising an in-house print shop and copy center that produce over 12 million impression a year.
Overseeing the production of full-time Press Operator, full-time Graphics Assistant, part-time Web Assistant and various other part-time staff.
Teaching web design to KCLS staff.
In September of 2000 I began my new job at the Seattle Aquarium.
Presently, I supervise the Graphics and Exhibits sections.
I'm available for freelance and consultation at: 206 277-7950.
